Six months in.
How a St. Pete flood barrier company went from a great product nobody was searching for to a brand that owns its category, with search, ads and video running as one system.

Six months. Their numbers.
March, when we started, against the most recent 30 days. Pulled straight from Dam It Defense’s own ad accounts, Search Console and CRM.
Booked appointments

From people who didn’t know the namePages in Google
Earning impressions each monthInbound leads
New requests in the CRMThey weren’t searching “flood barrier.” They were searching “how do I keep water out of my garage.”
Dam It Defense was founded by two St. Pete locals whose own homes flooded in Hurricane Helene. They built a better barrier. The problem was that homeowners didn’t know the category had a name. So we stopped marketing a product and started answering the question.
From pieces to a system.
March
- VideoOccasional pieces
- SearchA foundation site
- PaidBoosted posts and one search campaign
- ReportingWhatever the platforms showed
September
- VideoA new cinematic spot every week, plus install films and founder interviews
- SearchGeo pages across 10+ service areas, new content every week
- PaidGoogle and Meta both booking assessments every day
- ReportingA monthly report that decides where the next dollar goes
Two channels. Both producing.
In March, Meta wasn’t running a single booking campaign. Today it books more assessments than any other channel, led by the cinematic video campaign.
A page for every market, so a search in Clearwater, Sarasota or Tampa lands on a page written for that town, not a generic homepage.
Together, paid ads now book eight times the appointments they did in March.
8xVideo is the engine.

A new one every week.
Built to look like a production and cost like a post. Concept, generation, edit, sound and end card.

Real crews. Real homes.
A homeowner about to spend real money wants to see who shows up. So we show them.

The storm that started it.
Danny and Enrico on camera, and a film cut from Danny’s own walkthrough of his flooded home the morning after Helene.
How it came together.
Kickoff
SEO foundation and the first search pages.
The system
Search, ads and video start running as one plan.
Weekly cadence
A new cinematic spot every week. The scope grows with the results.
Every market
Conversion pages and a geo page for each service area.
Peak season
8x the booked appointments, heading into the heart of hurricane season.
Against the market.
Florida search demand for flood barriers fell by more than half this year. Dam It Defense’s inbound leads grew 2.6x anyway, because the brand was in front of people before they ever searched.
One brand became a network.
Dam It Defense sells through dealers, and every dealer needs its own version of the story. High Tide Home Pros and Rock Homes launched on the same system, with their names on it.
